Vik Sivalingam holds an MFA in Theatre Directing from Birkbeck, University of London, and a Postgraduate Award in Teaching Shakespeare from the University of Warwick in association with the Royal Shakespeare Company.

As a Theatre Director based in London, Vik has collaborated with prestigious institutions such as the Royal Shakespeare Company, Almeida Theatre, the Old Vic Theatre, Royal Court, and Tricycle Theatre. His international directing credits include performances in New York, Brazil, and the Netherlands.

Vik has also led actor training programs in both the UK and the US, working with institutions like the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Syracuse University (for Shakespeare’s Globe), Brooklyn College, Temple University, Arts Educational Schools, East 15 Acting School, WacArts, and LAMDA.

He was a prolific writer during the Elizabethan and Jacobean ages of British theatre (sometimes called the English Renaissance or the Early Modern Period). With a rich and diverse portfolio of work that continues to be adapted into the modern day, Shakespeare is hailed as one of the most important literary figures of the English language.
